South Korean thriller The Killer gets UK release

Trinity CineAsia is bringing the slick South Korean action-thriller, The Killer, to Digital platforms from 27th March, before arriving on Blu-ray and DVD from 17th April. Reuniting the star and director of earlier CineAsia title, The Swordsman, The Killer stars Jang Hyuk as a legendary hitman who has decided to retire from the business and pursue a normal life. However, he is drawn back in when a teenager he is looking after is suddenly kidnapped by gangsters.

Hurst: The First and Only comes home this March

New documentary, Hurst: The First and Only, comes to Blu-ray, DVD and Download from 27th March courtesy of Dazzler Media. The film charts some incredible highs and little-known lows as British football legend Geoff Hurst talks for the first time about his remarkable achievements and personal tragedies. Father Brown: Series 10 arrives in March

The eagerly awaited tenth series of smash hit drama, Father Brown, comes to Blu-ray, DVD and Download-to-Own on 13th March courtesy of Dazzler Media. The charismatic and crime-fighting priest, played by Mark Williams, returns to solve more mysteries in the beautiful English countryside with a fresh new team of sleuths to aid his work in Kembleford. The Curse of Rosalie lands UK release

Tense and atmospheric supernatural horror, The Curse of Rosalie, will premiere in the UK exclusively on the Icon Film Channel from 13th March. It will then arrive in selected UK cinemas on 14th April, before landing on DVD and Digital platforms on 15th May. With a strong cast including Irene Bedard (Pocahontas, Tree of Life), Amanda MacDonald (CSI: Miami, The Mentalist) and Steve Monroe (Promising Young Woman), the film is a fresh and unexpected twist on the horror genre.

Ip Man: The Awakening marks latest in the hit franchise

Martial Arts action-drama Ip Man: The Awakening will premiere exclusively on the Icon Film Channel from 3rd April. It will then release in selected UK cinemas on 5th May and land on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital on 5th June from Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment. The film is a new entry in the popular franchise based on the life of Bruce Lee’s legendary teacher (and made famous by Donnie Yen). This outing stars Miu Tse, the former child star of Jet Li classics, Legend of the Red Dragon and The Enforcer, in the title role.

New horror Play Dead gets UK debut

Tense new horror, Play Dead, will premiere in the UK exclusively on the Icon Film Channel from 13th February. It will then release in selected UK cinemas on 17th March and land on DVD & Digital platforms on 17th April from Icon Film Distribution. The Wandering Earth II scores UK release for Chinese New Year

Trinity CineAsia presents the eagerly awaited sci-fi blockbuster, The Wandering Earth II, previewing from 22nd January and in UK & Irish cinemas from 27th January for Chinese New Year. This interstellar blockbuster is a fresh prequel to one of the highest grossing films of all time, a $700m box office success, and Netflix global smash hit. Based on the popular novella by science fiction author Liu Cixin, it's directed by Frant Gwo (The Sacrifice) and stars Andy Lau (House of Flying Daggers, Infernal Affairs) and Wu Jing (The Battle at Lake Changjin, Wolf Warrior).

Project Wolf Hunting gets UK release

Acclaimed South Korean action-horror, Project Wolf Hunting, will premiere exclusively on the Icon Film Channel from 30th January. It will then release in selected UK cinemas on 10th March and land on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital on 10th April from Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment. From Kim Hong Sun, the veteran director of The Chase, the movie became a global film festival hit and has been hailed by genre fans. It follows a group of dangerous criminals who unite to stage a bloody escape while in transit on a cargo ship.

New Oscar Peterson documentary lands in the UK

Oscar Peterson: Black + White, a new feature documentary on the jazz legend, arrives on DVD and Download from Dazzler Media on 30th January. The film explores the seven-decade career of the jazz master: from his days as a child prodigy in Montreal, to the development of his signature sound on recordings with his trio, and battling prejudice. Featuring performances and interviews with musical greats such as Billy Joel, Jon Batiste, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock and more, this is a moving tribute.
